The 1.1 Fall Update is live. PaneoVR is now more robust, better supports users, and includes new features.

Below is a list of the new features:

All versions:

  • Organize media into subfolders/categories for better clarity, especially in the video pool
  • 360° images (jpg/png) can be used for scenes instead of videos
  • The “Automatic transition” element can now be triggered after a configurable number of seconds instead of only at the end of the video
  • The “Notice” element can now appear after any length of delay
  • New element: “Invisible interaction point” – Make an unmarked area in the scene selectable
  • New element: “Checklist” – Interacting with a specified number of points triggers a scene change
  • Copy & paste elements (select multiple elements using Shift+mouse click)

Education/Enterprise versions:

  • Statistics tool: Performance data such as time spent, error count, number of interactions, etc. for individual scenario runs can be viewed in the PaneoVR web tool and/or downloaded as .csv (data can also be collected for projects shared with Community Accounts)
  • Users within your organization can be assigned to groups/classes, allowing scenarios to be shared with those groups in batches.
  • Spectator feature (multi-user): Authorized users can join others in active scenarios to experience the same scenario together (available from 25.11.24; feature not available in the web browser Player)
  • Duplicate Projects
  • New end node alongside „Successful“ and „Failed“: Interaction triggers a switch to another scenario

If you have any further questions about the updates, please email support@paneovr.de

List of additional improvements:

  • Player: The slider for rotating the room in edit mode no longer incorrectly jumps to 0 or 360
  • Player: Quick guide to controller controls in the main menu
  • Editor: Only compatible elements can now be connected
  • Editor: Better tool feedback for users while editing projects
  • Editor: Fixed an error that allowed scenes to be given the same name, which caused problems in the Player
  • additional minor performance improvements

To conclude, a preview of the planned PaneoVR 1.2 Winter Update:

  • Release of the iOS and Android PaneoVR app for smartphones/tablets
  • 8K Video Support
  • Text overlays within the scene (separate from the notice field)
  • Integration of standard video into a 360° sphere
  • Further improvements to be announced in the coming months

In addition, the features already available will continue to be refined and adapted/expanded based on user feedback.
