Virtual training for everyone

PaneoVR was and continues to be designed to make creating virtual training for everyone accessible. To achieve this, the application relies on two core elements: The visual design of a scenario and capturing material that can be presented using 360° video technology. The latter provides particularly easy access thanks to its minimalist operation and the wide range of consumer cameras available to hobbyists and amateur filmmakers.

Try the results yourself!

If you would like to get an idea of what the technology can do, take a look at the scenarios created from the public prototypes in the ViRDiPA project. Visit the Examples section to explore them.
The available sample scenarios were created independently by the project's three practice partners.

The scenarios shown on the left can be played directly in the corresponding apps on the right

360° videos: The alternative to expensive 3D design

3D design and animation can undoubtedly create impressive virtual experiences. However, producing such simulations takes time and resources, especially as requirements for customization, quantity, and realistic visuals increase. A 360° video—and therefore a true-to-life environment that can be used virtually—can be created at the press of a button. Possible scenarios range from simple room tours to more elaborate role-playing experiences. When combined with suitable editing software, 360° video technology enables exploration, perspective-taking, realistic representations of consequences, and many other possibilities without a complex software development process. This is exactly where PaneoVR comes in.
