The 1.2 Winter Update is live. PaneoVR now includes numerous improvements as well as entirely new features.

Below is a list of the new features:

All versions:

  • New element: “Vibration feedback” – vibrate the controller at an adjustable frequency and according to a specified pattern, e.g., for pulse measurement (visual feedback on non-VR players)
  • New element: “Text field” – add longer text to a scene in a designated field
  • Official release of the Windows and MacOS PaneoVR Player apps in the Download Center
  • Following the English-language Player app, the Web Editor is now also available in English
  • Font size can be adjusted within the Player app
  • Project downloads in the Player app can now be canceled
  • Edit mode: The initial viewing direction in a scene can now be enforced (in addition to the existing room rotation).
  • Edit mode: Configured targets for all elements in a scene can be shown or hidden at the press of a button
  • Edit mode: Elements in a scene can be scaled up or down (already implemented previously)
  • 8K video uploads are fully supported
  • Removed the vertical line displayed with 360° images

Education/Enterprise/Basic versions:

  • Release of the PaneoVR iOS and Android apps for smartphones and tablets in their respective stores

List of additional updates:

  • Player: The scene list no longer disappears in edit mode at certain rotations
  • Player: Audio waypoints are no longer mistakenly interpreted as regular audio elements
  • Player: Success/failure messages and open images now close during automatic scene changes
  • Player: Automatic expansion of images works correctly again in edit mode and in the browser
  • Player: Audio playback for downloaded projects on VR headsets works again as intended
  • additional minor performance improvements

To conclude, a preview of the planned PaneoVR 1.3 Spring Update:

  • Integration of standard video into a 360° sphere
  • PDF Integration
  • Synchronized scenes for viewing different perspectives
  • Download feature for scenario diagrams, e.g., as a shooting schedule
  • … and much more

In addition, the features already available will continue to be refined and adapted/expanded based on user feedback.
