The 1.4 Summer Update arrives on 27.07.25 and makes remote control of the Player apps available for PaneoVR Education and Enterprise. Going forward, signed-in users will be able to download and start scenarios in groups through the Classroom feature. The frequently requested implementation of 2D video in scenes (as an addition to images, audio, and text) will also be available.
Below is a list of the new features (may be expanded before the release date):
All versions:
- New interaction element: Video – Embedded 2D videos in scenes via URL or file upload in the Editor
- Statistics tool: Scenario runs are now captured in even greater detail (including timestamps and trial identifiers)
- Editor: User profiles can now be edited
- Editor: Full touch support for the Web Editor on tablets
Professional versions (Education/Enterprise):
- Remote Control: Remotely control scenario start/stop and downloads on signed-in devices through the Classroom feature, with information about currently connected accounts and active scenarios

- Player: Leading periods „.“ in scene names no longer cause playback issues
- Player: The „initial viewing direction“ display is no longer visible in multiplayer
- Player: In multiplayer, the camera height on handheld devices now approximately matches the eye level of VR clients
- Editor: The Editor now highlights unconnected interaction elements when saving
