The 1.5 Fall Update arrives on 26.10.25 and, among other things, makes direct scenario playback links available for PaneoVR Education and Enterprise and provides a substantially redesigned way to create randomized sequences. As usual, a complete list of all new features appears below.
List of all updates in PaneoVR 1.5
All versions:
- Randomized sequences: Interaction elements can be linked to multiple scenes, which can then be selected at random (or using weighted probabilities)
- Delayed interaction elements: Previously, scenes could be configured so that interaction elements did not appear until the end of the video. You can now also specify the exact time from which interaction elements are visible (currently, this setting applies to all elements).
- Media pools now have a search bar
- Projects can now optionally be downloaded separately without their associated videos/audio/images
- 180° videos can now be used for panoramas – this requires the prefix „180-“ before the respective video name
Professional versions (Education/Enterprise):
- Direct links: Under „Share“, you can now create direct links for sharing scenarios for immediate playback – without requiring an account. These links can also be opened on VR headsets in the browser or with a QR code scanner, enabling direct playback on any device (installing the respective PaneoVR app remains recommended instead of using the Web Player)
- As part of the direct-link update, the „Share“ menu was redesigned. Multiple share links can now be created, and each link can also be given an expiration date
If you have any further questions about the updates, please email support@paneovr.de
List of additional updates:
- Player: The scene list in the Player Editor is now sorted alphabetically
- Remote control: Fixed an issue that prevented the list of online users from updating correctly
- Remote control: Organization administrators can now use the remote control in the same way as moderators
- Classrooms: Accounts can no longer be added to a classroom more than once
- Checklist: The checklist no longer resets to 2 hotspots when first edited
- Web Editor: Unconnected („free-floating“) interaction elements in the diagram are highlighted when saving
To conclude, a look ahead: Version 1.5 marks the end of a chapter in PaneoVR's development—in an entirely positive sense. With the final features before the turn of the year now added to the app, work on something major has already begun behind the scenes, and we are excited to announce PaneoVR 2.0 for the coming spring. More details will follow soon in a separate announcement.
If this raises any concerns about existing projects, we can reassure you right away: all scenarios you have created will remain usable and editable!
In addition, for all Professional license holders: Existing licenses will, of course, remain valid in the upcoming version 2.0.
Thank you for your interest in PaneoVR
